Help the Nuns Purchase New Prayer Books

A new edition of the Liturgy of the Hours—the official prayer of the Church—is forthcoming!

A new translation of the Liturgy of the Hours, a project which began in 2012—is about to be published. We will begin praying with these books on Ash Wednesday 2027. We are excited to be praying with the updated texts, but the cost to purchase them is almost $10,000! We will need close to forty-five 4-volume sets (that’s 180 individual volumes!) to provide for each sister, plus extras for young women entering the community and retreatants.

We invite you to participate in providing new liturgical books for us. You can donate an individual breviary or a complete set in memory of a loved one, in honor of your family or someone special to you. The name you provide will be inscribed in the breviary, and the Sister who uses it can remember the name in her prayers.

All money donated will be used towards the purchase of the breviaries, and any amount we receive beyond our need we will donate to other communities who also need to purchase new breviaries and may be struggling to afford the cost.
